I have a surprise for y'all today. My other sister, Hanne-col, joined me today for a sisters outfit post. Isn't that exciting?? *grin*
What Hanne-col is wearing: Dress Anthro// Cardigan Kohl's// Belt Claire's// Boots Bass Shoe Outlet
What I'm wearing: Grey Pleated Skirt ASOS {seen here}// Cream Lace Blouse F21// Pink Cardigan {borrowing from Gabrielle} Old Navy// Belt Target// Brown Boots Target {seen here}// Burgundy Floppy Hat Target// Grey Heart Tights Target
The reason you see us with coats is because of, well, several reasons. One - It was only 20 degrees. Two - There was a bitter cold wind. Three - It was snowing. Four - It was freezing!!! But, I really want a picture of this outfit.
I ordered the skirt last week off of ASOS and it arrived yesterday. I LOVE it!! I can't wait to copy the design and make some more for this summer in a bunch of colors. *smile* The boots & floppy hat I bought yesterday in the clearance section of Target. I've been really wanting these boots since August when they first came out, but in grey. Sadly, they were all out of my size in the grey at the store. So I just went with the brown pair.
Hanne-col has made brief appearances before on BF. And since her outfit kinda had the same theme/style has mine I begged her to join me. As you can see, she agreed. *grin*

I'm so excited!!! One of my blog readers named Venus sent me her blue vintage train case {it arrived Monday}! I'm so excited and can't wait to use it on trips & photo-shoots! Thank you so much, Venus!!!This afternoon I went to Target with my mom and I found some great stuff in the clearance section. Like a pair of boots I've been eyeing since August and a burgundy floppy hat. Even though we are supposed to get snow tomorrow, I'm going to try and get a picture of this outfit I really want to show y'all. The outfit includes one of those chiffon pleated skirts that I've been seeing all over Pinterest.

What I Wore - Pencil Skirt + Lace Blouse + Blazer
Blazer H&M// Pencil Skirt made by me// Lace Blouse F21// Tights J.C.Penny// Flats Old Navy// Necklace F21// Belt Kohl's// Handbag Kate Spade {antique mall}// Sunglasses Kohl's
Since I worked for half the day today, I needed to wear something nice. And besides, I adore this lace blouse. It makes me want to add more lace to my wardrobe - like a lace skirt I've been seeing on Pinterest. Back to about the outfit...I added the owl necklace for a touch of whimsy {y'all know how I love my whimsy} and I love how it looks against the lace. Tomorrow looks like it is going to be a sewing kind of day. Which is great since I haven't sewn one thing yet this year. I have some ideas floating in my head that all depend on if I have the right notions on hand to finish the project. I have this habit of not finishing a project if I don't have everything at the beginning {I have a garbage bag full of evidence if you need proof}. So I guess I need to go check my notions stash tonight.
I better get going. As I really want to try and get to bed early tonight. I have this habit of being a night owl. *grin*

Perfect for a cold winter day full of baking. {If you want to see pictures of my baking, you will be excited to know I'm posting pictures & links to the recipes in a post tomorrow.}Now what about y'all. What I Wore - Inspired by Marie from Marie Loves...
Grey T-Shirt Hand-me-down from Mrs. Amber Apple {F21}// Navy Blue Camisole J.C.Penny// Black Blazer F21// Owl Necklace F21// Bow Post Earrings F21// Black Flats Payless Shoes// Olive Green Skirt Hand-me-down from Mrs. Amber Apple {Banana Republic}// Green Tights J.C.Penny// Cat Eyed Sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's
When I tried on this outfit combination Tuesday night, I immediately thought of Marie of Marie Loves... and how she would wear an outfit like this. The basic color combination is so very her. {Marie, I love your outfits and I'm so glad you are back blogging!} In fact, since we've been back home I've been wearing more basic colors together with just a touch of whimsy & pop of color. I go through moods. Also my surroundings affect my outfits - so does the weather & how I feel.
I promised I would share what I bought at the antique mall today. So without further ado, what I bought.
On the bottom left we have a vintage handbag in navy blue {I think it is from the 50s/60s}. While in the middle we have a black Kate Spade purse from either the late 90s or early 2000s {I'm really excited about this purchase, as one of my goals for 2012 was to buy a Kate Spade purse. And here I found one for $11}. The bottom right purse is a lovely brown shade vintage handbag {50s/60s?} in some kind of print, or type of leather or something. I don't know much about vintage purses at all, and there are no markings in any of the vintage bags.
Here we have three magazines from 1940. The two in the back are LOOK magazine and the front one is a movie magazine called, Photoplay. I'm going to do scans of these magazines sometime next year, along with tons of other magazines I own - really I own stacks.

What I Wore - Two Florida Outfits
Adult version of the Pillowcase top {I used this tutorial}// cutoff Jean Shorts refashioned by me// Cat Eyed Sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's
cutoff Jean Shorts refashioned by me {same as the ones above}// black tank J.C.Penny// Chambray Tunic J.C.Penny// Fedora F21// Sandals F21// Cat Eyed Sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl'sThe first outfit is what I wore on Christmas Eve. The top & shorts were made for the trip. The top is an adult version of the pillowcase top. I used a tutorial from the Sweet Verbena blog for the top, which a few of my own changes of course.
The bottom outfit is what I wore on Christmas Day. This was one of my main outfits of the trip. I refashioned my shorts from an old pair of jeans. For the shorts I needed no tutorial. Just cut off right above the knee and roll-up a few times for the cuffed shorts look.
------------------------------------------------------------
I'm back home from Florida - on the way back home we stopped at an antique mall and I found some goodies, I'll share them hopefully tomorrow. *smile* I'll also announce the winner for the journal tomorrow too. And I'll be announcing my HUGE blog event for next year on Friday, so look out for that post!

Maxi-dress made by me {I used this tutorial as a guide. But kinda did my own thing.}// chambray tunic J.C.Penny// Celtic Knot Belt Kohl's// Fedora F21// Cat Eyed Sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's// Sandlas F21
Vintage Styled Bathing Suit J.CPenny {2 years ago}// Chambray Tunic J.C.Penny// Fedora F21//Cat Eyed Sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's
Today was a full day. I slept on the balcony of the condo last night {for the second night in a row. will be doing it again tonight, as it is such fun!}. Went for a walk with Gabby and our mom into town this morning, where we took the pictures for the first outfit today, then down to the pier and back along the gulf. Afternoon was spent in the pool and back up in the condo blogging. After dinner we went shopping for groceries and for a Starbucks {I had a peppermint mocha}. Not too long after we came back from shopping the power went out for a little over half an hour, maybe even for one hour. It was loads of fun! *grin* Now, I'm sitting on my "bed" out on the balcony blogging and listening to the waves come onto the beach. I really don't want to go back home right now. But we will be home come Tuesday - we leave the condo on Sunday, Christmas day. *sighs*
Be sure to check out my Favorite Christmas Movies post that I did this afternoon!

What I Wore - Denim on Denim
skinny jeans F21// chambray tunic J.C.Penny// tank J.C.Penny// skinny belt F21// floral earrings J.C.Penny// cat eyed sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's
Once again you are getting a picture of my third outfit for today. hehe. But you know how the fedora was the main piece for yesterday's outfits? Well, today is was my chambray tunic. All outfits revolved around this tunic. This morning for sitting around the condo I wore the same outfit pictured about just with the shorts from last night & no belt and earrings. Before & after lunch {for the pool & beach} I wore my polka-dot vintage styled bathing suit, chambray tunic as a coverup, sunnies, and flip-flops.
Today was a more relaxed day. In fact, I fell asleep on the beach a couple times - that is how relaxed I was!!! Which could be why I feel like blogging everyday. I was getting in a busy-not inspired-blogging slump before our trip. I'm over that now. *grin*
{also here is a picture of Gabrielle (with short hair!!) and I} ♥♥♥♥

What I Wore - Beach Style + Shabby Apple Winner
oversized dolman top made by me// cutoff jean shorts refashioned by me// hoodie jacket christmas gift {kohl's}// flip-flops target// fedora f21
The picture above is of my third outfit for today {it was for our walk on the beach this evening}. Yes, I typicality wear about three outfits a day while on the beach. What I wore golfing this morning was a different pair of jean shorts, navy blue polo shirt, same fedora hat {I wore it all day today}, and tennis shoes. {BTW: I came in last out of our foursome for golfing. But driving the golf cart was fun! So was eating Reese's peanut butter cups & a ice-cream sandwich before lunch.}
When we came back to the condo I changed into my retro styled one-pieced bathing suit from J.C. Penny's {navy blue w/white polka dots}, red & white striped tank, cat-eyed sunglasses, fedora, and flip-flops for the lying out on the beach. If you are wondering what I put into my beach bag, here you go: lip balms {Burt's Bees, Soft Lips...}, vintage magazines {50s-60s}, iPod Touch {for listening to Frank Sinatra}, water, a book, and peppermint York Patties. Oh, I also throw in Kleenex & my cell-phone at times too. *smile*
