What I Wore - Denim on Denim

 skinny jeans F21// chambray tunic J.C.Penny// tank J.C.Penny// skinny belt F21// floral earrings J.C.Penny// cat eyed sunnies Dana Buchman for Kohl's

Once again you are getting a picture of my third outfit for today. hehe. But you know how the fedora was the main piece for yesterday's outfits? Well, today is was my chambray tunic. All outfits revolved around this tunic. This morning for sitting around the condo I wore the same outfit pictured about just with the shorts from last night & no belt and earrings. Before & after lunch {for the pool & beach} I wore my polka-dot vintage styled bathing suit, chambray tunic as a coverup, sunnies, and flip-flops.

Today was a more relaxed day. In fact, I fell asleep on the beach a couple times - that is how relaxed I was!!! Which could be why I feel like blogging everyday. I was getting in a busy-not inspired-blogging slump before our trip. I'm over that now. *grin*

 {also here is a picture of Gabrielle (with short hair!!) and I} ♥♥♥♥

What I Wore - Beach Style + Shabby Apple Winner

oversized dolman top made by me// cutoff jean shorts refashioned by me// hoodie jacket christmas gift {kohl's}// flip-flops target// fedora f21

The picture above is of my third outfit for today {it was for our walk on the beach this evening}. Yes, I typicality wear about three outfits a day while on the beach. What I wore golfing this morning was a different pair of jean shorts, navy blue polo shirt, same fedora hat {I wore it all day today}, and tennis shoes. {BTW: I came in last out of our foursome for golfing. But driving the golf cart was fun! So was eating Reese's peanut butter cups & a ice-cream sandwich before lunch.}

When we came back to the condo I changed into my retro styled one-pieced bathing suit from J.C. Penny's {navy blue w/white polka dots}, red & white striped tank, cat-eyed sunglasses, fedora, and flip-flops for the lying out on the beach. If you are wondering what I put into my beach bag, here you go: lip balms {Burt's Bees, Soft Lips...}, vintage magazines {50s-60s}, iPod Touch {for listening to Frank Sinatra}, water, a book, and peppermint York Patties. Oh, I also throw in Kleenex & my cell-phone at times too. *smile*

We have arrived!!!

*sighs* Well, we have arrived at Florida and I'm sitting on the patio....in my bathing suit.....blogging away. *grin* The sun is burning and I'm sweating. But I'm enjoying every moment of warmness.  I can't wait for tonight when we will be eating at our favorite local restaurant for my brother's belated-birthday dinner. Where I'll get the ribs, salad bar, and wonderful dinner rolls. Yummy.

In other news, the fingerless gloves giveaway ends tonight. And the Shabby Apple dress ends tomorrow night.

No Full Internet Access

Just a heads up that I won't have full internet access until Sunday evening, or Monday morning. I will receive any email's and comments you send me on my iTouch when we stop at Starbucks for coffee breaks, but I won't be able to reply to any questions you have until Sunday or Monday. This post was going to go up this afternoon, but our internet stopped working at home so it had to wait until we arrived at our hotel in Tennessee this evening {more like 11PM}. {Hello! Tennessee readers!}  *grin*

Girls Outing Downtown

You may have noticed, I haven't really been blogging this past week. There is a reason - I came down with a sore throat and cold last Tuesday morning {I still have the cold}. I had so many plans for this past week. Make cake pops & candy with my little sister, Abby. Start on a circle skirt for Casey's sew along. Refashion some clothes for the fall from my wardrobe. Start making little girls clothing, headbands, and doll clothes for my etsy shop. And I had some great ideas for blog posts this week. Instead I've been stuck in bed {except for Wednesday, when I went out for the afternoon. Which is why I'm writing this post.} watching movies & TV shows, coming up with outfit ideas, and dreaming of hair styles.

Now that you have some background on my week, you maybe wondering? If she was sick, why is the post titled, "Girls Outing Downtown." Well, my dearies. Gabrielle, Hanne-col, and I had been planning to meet up with a friend {Beth} for a girls outing in downtown Indy on Wednesday afternoon. My sore throat was gone, I had just a minor cold at that time, so I decided to go with my sisters downtown {I wasn't about to miss out on this adventure! I had to go}. I packed my thermos with plenty of orange juice for the trip and headed downtown. Here are a bunch of pictures of our little adventure.

  Heading downtown

One of the places we had to stop at - a tea shop called, Teapots n Treasures. {You would love this place, Amber!} I was able to try out two teas, which I ended up simply adoring {which is not normal for me}. They were called, something Octoberfest and Pumpkin Chai. Yummy.

Tea Sets

Then I spotted THE most WONDERFUL teapot/teacup! It was red with white polkadots. Very Cath Kidston. {I immediately thought of you, Acahia!} =)

Statue of William Henry Harrison.

Our friend, Beth.

Inside the State House.

It was beautiful!

Bust of George Rogers Clark.

Resting inside the State House.

We found an old US mail slot. {that is Hanne-col.}

After the State House we walked to the brand new 9-11 memorial. This is a beam from the World Trade Center. Want to know something amazing? Ten years later you can still smell the smoke in the steel{?} beam.

More of the memorial.

A beautiful bridge along our canal.

Me, Gabrielle, and Hanne-col.

And that was my adventure downtown. Though, I think all those hours in the cold walking around made my cold worse. But it was worth it. ;-)
