Going on Vacation!!
Hello everyone! Gabrielle and I are going on a two week vacation with our family out to California. We are planning on doing some posts while on vacation, so look out for those. We will also post pictures from our trip once we get back.
We will have our etsy shop closed during the two week period. So if nothing shows up in our shop, that's why.

30 Day Challenge - Day 10 & 11
{A childhood memory.}
Playing baseball in the backyard with my family. Going on vacation with my family across America. Acting out scenes from Anne of Green Gables with my sisters. Sword fighting with my siblings. Making countless movies with my siblings that are never finished. Watching fireworks on July 4th. Catching fireflies on a warm summer evening and placing them in a jar.

30 Day Challenge - Day 9
Day 23: {A way in which you want to be remembered.}
I want to be remembered for the following. My love for my family. Being a faithful daughter. One who wants to help others in dressing modestly. My love of sewing, reading, and history.

Day 24: {A movie no one would expect you to love.}
Gosh, I don't know.
I do enjoy a good mystery like the Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone & Nigel Bruce
And I love a good World War Two movie. One of my favorites is Go for Broke! {1951}.

30 Day challenge - Day 5, 6, 7, and 8
Day 15: {A person you admire.}
General Robert Edward Lee. A man of honor and duty. When things went bad he didn't blame anyone, he took all the blame. Also before he made important decisions, he would pray and read his bible to find out God wanted him to do.

Day 16: {A song that makes you cry.}
Here's a secret. Songs, books, and movies they all don't make me cry. My sisters say I have no feelings. But I do. =) So there is no song that makes me cry.

Day 17: {An art piece.}
I love this sculpture by Edgar Degas!
Day 19: {A talent of yours.}
I have an engineering mind, so I can figure out just about anything I want by myself.
Day 20: {A hobby of yours.}
My biggest hobbies are: sewing, reading, history, and anything crafty.
Before I was gluten-free I would have this delicious combination from Panera Bread. I loved having Black Bean soup and a cinnamon crunch bagel toasted with butter. But this the strange part, I would dip my bagel in my soup. Yum! Or, I would dip the same kind of bagel in the frozen Amy's mac-and-cheese. Yummy!
Day 22: {A website.}
My favorite website besides blogger would have to be one of the following:
http://whatiwore.tumblr.com/
http://amandabethonline.blogspot.com/
http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/
http://sensibility.com/

Jane Austen Tour - Marianne Dashwood Costume
Feelin' Feminine is hosting a Jane Austen tour (like my AOGG fashion week) and I will be joining in for a few days. =)
The first thing I will be sharing is my Marianne Dashwood outfit, that I copied from the 1995 version of Sense & Sensibility.
::Inspiration::
I recreated this outfit of Marianne Dashwood back in 2008, for a trip to Williamsburg, VA. I only had one problem. I forgot to add sleeves to the pelisse! But it's OK, as it still works with out the sleeves. =)
::Materials::
Patterns I used:
Elegant Ladies Closet Pattern - (Click here to view more details)
Regency Spencer Pelisse Pattern - (Click here to view more details) - I changed the design of the Pelisse to match the one in the movie, Sense & Sensibility (1995).
Fabrics:
White strip voile for the dress and yellow broadcloth for the pelisse.
::My Version::
Now, these pictures are my Senior pictures. Which explanations how my hair suddenly got so long, and why I have different glasses on. =)
These pictures are definitely some of my favorite pictures. And don't you just the house in the background?!? A bunch of girls call it Pemberly, and we wish could live there. =)
