Bramblewood Fashion's 2nd Blog Birthday!

Guess what everyone?!? Yesterday was Bramblewood Fashion's 2nd birthday. It marks the day I came up with the name, Bramblewood Fashion and I started this blog. How exciting! Maybe to mark the occasion I should buy a vintage magazine off of Etsy. ;-) But then again, Etsy, Amazon, iTunes, and Target are awful for my wallet. :p Those four stores tempt me like no other stores. Unless you count fabric stores & antique malls too. *laughs* If you really want to know. I'm just looking for a really good reason to buy some magazines I found on Etsy yesterday.

Back to Bramblewood Fashion's birthday. You can read my post for the blog's first birthday here. Or maybe you would like to see my two first posts back in 2009. {post 1. post 2.}

Within these two past years my blog has grown by leaps and bounds. Why only last year I had 158 GFC followers. It is amazing how many of you read my blog. I have been able to meet so many people through my blog. It has also open the doors for me to meet and become friends with some of my favorite people in the blogging world {as we have met in person and are real life friends now}. Two of them are Emily Rose & Breezy Brookshire and the Long Ladies.

It has been great getting to know you all these past two years. I look forward to getting to know more of you in the coming year. Also this coming year for my blog I have lots of fun, and new things planned for y'all! I'm pondering the idea of doing a sew along (I love these!), or maybe even doing a sewing class online. If you have any ideas on what you would like to see on the blog. Let me know in a comment below. =)

What I'm Wearing - Maid Marian Inspired

-What I'm Wearing -

Jean Pencil Skirt - Made by me
Tan Empire Waist Shirt - Kohl's
White Tank - JCPenny
Brown Belt - Maurices
Black Boots - Bass Shoe Outlet
Scarf - Target
Leaf Earrings - AmandaBeth Boutique

Today's outfit has a certain woodsy feel to it. Which is great! For when I was putting together my outfit last night, I based my whole outfit around my new leaf earrings from AmandaBeth. Once I realized the woodsy feel my outfit was creating, I decided that I would go for the Maid Marian look. And you know what? I love this look! I think I will create more Maid Marian looks this coming Fall. =) Speaking about Fall, I have a post coming up about a 2010 Fall Collection that I just love from a designer. So look out for that. =)

You may notice the new toolbar at the bottom the blog. I love it! I first saw it on AmandaBeth Online and decided to add it to Bramblewood. What do you guys think about it?

Coming up are two fashion events that I'm planning on doing. On August 31st is AmandaBeth Online's Masquerade Online event, which I'm eagerly looking forward too! I'm thinking on either creating an Audrey Hepburn inspired outfit. Or, just create a character out of my many costumes I have already sewn. =) Then on  September 1-15th Hannah at Beauty from Inside, is hosting a Belle's Wardrobe fashion week! Which is so exciting as Belle is my favorite Disney princess. =)

Oh, I will have more pictures from our vacation sometime latter this week. =)

I guess I could tell you all about my latest sewing project. Um, maybe not yet. =) I will just share the finished product with you all either tomorrow, or Thursday. =) OK. I guess I could give one hint. It is inspired from the store Anthropologie. =)

Bramblewood Fashion's 1st Blog Birthday!

This is so exciting! Today one year ago, I (Ashley) started Bramblewood Fashion. Now, one year later we have 158 Google Followers and 195 Google Readers. We want to thank you all for following, reading, and commenting our blog. If it wasn't for all of you, I wouldn't feel motivated to blog. When I first started out, I only had my family, some friends from church, and some followers from my old blog, which is no longer up, reading my blog. I love receiving and reading all of your comments, it makes my heart leap to see I have a comment to read and publish when ever I log into blogger. =)

Thank you, from the bottom of our heart's, for helping this blog grow and reading all that we have to say for the past year. And if you are a new reader, welcome! We hope you enjoy our little blog. Hopefully, you will be encouraged that you can dress fashionably, and stay modest. Or, if you are into sewing, you enjoy all our sewing posts.

Thank you so much for being a reader!

News

Hello everyone! I'm just letting you all know that, we are going to be out of town on vacation next week (Sunday - Saturday). So there will be no posts until we get back. I (Ashley) had hoped to schedule some posts for while we are gone, but the week just flied by. =)

We wanted to thank Natasha and Bess for their awards and tags. We will do a proper post for them them when we return.

We also have a surprise planned for the first week of May. =) So be on the look out for that. It is something fun and fashion(y). And I bet none of you can guess what it is. You can try guessing in a comment. It would be fun to see if anyone can guess what it is. ;-)

Other exciting news (I'm just full of news today) is that, this is Bramblewood Fashion's 150th post! And we have 71 followers! Thank you everyone who reads and follows this blog! For if it wasn't for your support and comments, this blog wouldn't have grown has much as it has since I started last August.

Blessings,
Ashley & Gabrielle
