Nancy Drew Fashion Week - Day 7

Well folks, today is the last day of the Nancy Drew fashion week. It has been fun while it lasted. I've greatly enjoyed seeing all of y'all outfits - even if I hadn't been commenting lately. 

To close this fashion week I turned to my 1940s swing dress - I just need to learn swing dancing to dance in it. Oh well, I'll just listen to a bunch of 40s songs instead. ;-)

Nancy Drew Fashion Week - Day 6

Can y'all believe that tomorrow is the last day of the Nancy Drew fashion week? This week has just flown by! But guess what?!? I was able to sit on our patio for the first time this year today. It was just very windy. But I had fun anyways, doing watercolors, listening to music, and just enjoy being outside again.

Today's outfit is along the lines of Nancy Drew out on a ranch in 2011. I keeping finding my outfits looking very country lately. I think it is the boots. I l.o.v.e my Target cowgirl-ish boots. I wear them every chance I have. Though, another reason for all the country-ness could be that I have been listing to Country music non-stop this week. =D

Nancy Drew Fashion Week - Day 5

Can you girls believe that we are almost done with the Nancy Drew fashion week? We only have two more days left! Time has just flown by. 

Once again I'm vintage Nancy Drew, were I could easily be from the 1930s, 1940s, or 1950s. I'm finding it so easy to dress like Nancy Drew - almost too easy. That I'm coming to realize that my style is very much like hers. =)

What I'm Wearing: Black Pencil Skirt {made by me}; Peach Blouse {Laura & Jayne (1983) - from my Mom} (you can read about the blouse here.); Key Watch Necklace {Maurices}; Black Suede Moccasins {Naturlizer}; Pearl Headband {Claire's}; and the same earrings as before {Kohl's}.

Nancy Drew Fashion Week - Day 4

Rain, rain, rain. Boy, has it been raining today. We finally got a break from pouring down rain to take a few pictures. =) What about y'all? What's the weather like where you live? It's cold {48 degrees} and rainy in Indiana.

Well, on to my Nancy Drew outfit for today. It's kinda 1940s Nancy Drew on a ranch out west. Or, maybe kinda 1970s. I'm not sure yet.

How are y'all doing today? I had a wonderful Lords day! It was also warm and sunny today! Though, very windy. Today's outfit is Nancy Drew in the 1950s. Which is one of favorite eras for clothes by the way. =)

Nancy Drew Fashion Week - Day 1

Are y'all excited for the Nancy Drew fashion week? I know I am. Today I decided to be more of a 1960s/modern inspired Nancy Drew. As the jacket I'm wearing is made from a vintage 1960s pattern and I'm wearing t-strap heels. Plus, the pencil skirt is classic.

Looking at these pictures it seams like either I grew taller, or my clothes have shrunk. As several of my skirts and dresses now hit at this shorter length. Oh, dear. I sorta of hope it's the latter, as I thought I would have stopped growing by now. :p

You'll know Miss Nancy from her books written by Carolyn Keene, or perhaps from one of her movies- the most recent starring Miss Emma Roberts.

When Will The Event Be? April 1-7 2011

How Can I Enter? There are three ways you can enter:

1. Here at my blog, by entering your blog link in a linky that will be posted on the 1st of April
2. At Natasha's blog by entering your blog link in a linky that will be posted on the 1st of April

What Are The Categories? There are three categories:

Nancy-Vintage is where you should enter all your 1940-1970's fashion sitting in your closet!
Nancy-Modern Try to ask yourself what Nancy would be wearing if she lived in 2011.
Nancy-Costume is the perfect place to enter your Nancy costumes! There's plenty of time to sew one, so hurry up!

Where Can I Find Out What Nancy Would Wear? Since not all of us are experts on what Nancy Drew would wear, this website is a great resource. It has images of all the Nancy Drew covers, by decades. You can also check out this post I wrote last year on Nancy Drew's style.

What If I Don't Know Anything About Nancy Drew, Can I Still Enter? Of course! Everyone is welcome as usual, and encourage all of you ladies to join in the fun!

Please remember that the outfits still need to be modest (of course Nancy would approve!), and I reserve the right to refuse any photos I feel are inappropriate.
