Blog Award Time

I figured it was about time I posted all the awards Bramblewood Fashion was given in February and March. Late I know. =)

I have been award the Stylish Blogger Award, three times, The Versatile Blogger and the 7 Facts Blog Award.

For the awards I will just do seven random things about myself. As I don't think I can come up 35 random different things. :p 

1. My mom taught me how to sew the basics. But I learned how to sew clothing/costumes on my own through books and websites/blogs.

2. Peppermint is my favorite flavor ever.

3. Growing up one of my favorite TV shows was Liberty Kids. Anyone watch that show?

4. I use to hate dark chocolate and milk chocolate was only ok. I only liked white chocolate. Now it has switched. I adore dark & milk chocolate and dislike white. :p

5. I have been to London, UK. It was for Mrs. Chancey's first Historical Costume Trip. {my posts are here.}

6. I love collecting patterns. I have over 200 right now {modern/vintage/costume}. I also love collection vintage magazines and books.

7. My favorite era for movies are the 1940s.

An Award!

We have been given a blog award and tag by Erin at High Heels and Pencil Skirts (love that blog name).

First off, the "One Lovely Blog Award," and we will pass on the award to anyone who has not received this award yet. =)

Now for the "Beautiful Blogger Award" I am to post seven random things about myself. =)

1. I have been sewing historical costumes since 2006.
2. While I have been sewing modern clothing since 2007, or '08.
3. My mom taught me the basics of sewing and how to use a sewing machine.
4. I taught myself to sew clothing & costumes by reading books, and researching the internet.
5. I was born in Long Beach, CA.
6. I have lived in four states and between 10-12 houses/condos/apartments in my life so far.
7. I love to travel!!

I have been given this blog award by Caroline of Standing in the Sunlight. Thanks Caroline! I am to tell you all seven random things about me, then tag seven other bloggers.

1. I have read only one Jane Austen book and that was Pride & Prejudice.
2. My favorite Elizabeth Gaskell film is the BBC North & South (2004).
3. My favorite Narnian is Reepicheep! I loved him in Prince Caspian and can't wait to see him in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. But guess what?!? I have a fear of mice. LOL!
4. I have a weakness for anything that has polka-dots on it.
5. We use to have a dog named Braveheart (he was a yellow lab). He was named after William Wallace. But we all said, "We should have called him, Chickenheart. For he is such a chicken." You see, he was not a brave dog at all. He was scared of mice, vole's, and stairs.   
6. My favorite summer sport is Baseball. My favorite team is the Detroit Tigers.
7. While my two favorite winter sports are Hockey and Ice-skating. =)

1. I have a fear of Aquariums. Or any tanks that are full of water that surround me. 

2. I also have a fear of Snakes. And guess what!?!? I saw my first wild one in South Carolina, it was a black snake. Lets just say, I wanted to get out of that area as fast as I could. =)

3. My favorite animals are on the same food chain. How sad. They are Killer Whales, Dolphins, Seal Lions, and Penguins.  

4. I enjoy writing/telling children's stories (picture book type).

5. I love saving things! May that be stuff from trips, fabric, buttons, just about anything. It was really bad, when I was younger I would save candy wrappers and every single scrap of paper I wrote on. I'm now able to through things away.  ;-) But sometimes that is hard to do, for everything has a memory for me.

11: Do you sleep with a stuffed toy (BE HONEST!!!!) When I was "younger" I slept with my huge rag doll. She used to be the same height as me, then I grew.

13: What is your favorite book? WHAT A QUESTION FOR ME! I have so many favorites! I will go with....The Bible. :)

14: Favorite ice cream flavor? Mint Chocolate chip.

15: If you had to eat one type of food for two weeks, what would that food be?If I wasn't gluten-free right now, I would say pizza. Now, Almond Flour Flapjacks or Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies. They are the BEST!

16: What is your favorite Olympic sport? Figure skating.

17: If you woke up and discovered that you had turned into Miley Cyrus for the day, what would you do (note, I am NOT a fan)? I don't really know who Miley Cyrus is! :P I guess take my family to Walt Disney World.

18: Describe yourself in three words. Shy (But once I get to really know you, I'm not anymore.), creative, loves her family.

19: What chore do you positively hate? Cleaning all of the windows in our house. =)

20: If elmo cam into your room with a gun, what would you do? Laugh, then go and tickle him! =)
